Claudine Lyons
Claudine Lyons is a public policy specialist with over a decade of experience working for government and non-government organisations in Australia and the United Kingdom. Claudine has worked across various human service portfolios including housing, education and training and health. She has a strong background in healthy public policy and cross sectoral collaborations, and a passion for health equity.
The Cancer Institute NSW is Australia’s first state based cancer control agency. In her current role Claudine oversees the delivery of prevention programs and policies in tobacco control and skin cancer prevention, and provides strategic leadership to social marketing plans and initiatives across tobacco control, lung cancer awareness, skin cancer prevention, breast and cervical cancer screening.
In her presentation Claudine will be discussing how the Cancer Institute NSW involves consumers in the development of its social marketing initiatives, using its lung cancer signs and symptoms campaign ‘Listen out for Lung Cancer’ as an example.
