Arun Chaturvedi
Dr. Arun Chaturvedi is presently Senior Consultant & Head of Surgical Oncology at Sahara India Medical Institute Ltd., Lucknow. Dr. Arun Chaturvedi was Professor & Head, Department of Surgical Oncology, King George’s (Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj) Medical University (KGMU/ C.S.M.M.U), Lucknow till November 2009. Dr. Chaturvedi started his academic career in Oncology in 1989 as Lecturer (Oncology) in the Department of Surgery, King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. Recognized by the MCI and the National Board of Examinations as a postgraduate teacher and examiner in Surgical Oncology, Dr. Chaturvedi was behind the MCh Surgical Oncology programme started at KGMU in 2004. Dr. Chaturvedi has also been an active faculty member of the Institute of Clinical Epidemiology, KGMU. There are several publications (48 papers and 9 book chapters, including publications in the ‘The Lancet Oncology’ and ‘Recent Advances in Surgery’) and presentations to Dr. Chaturvedi’s credit. Dr. Chaturvedi has been awarded fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (International Clinical Epidemiology Network, INCLEN Fellowship), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York and Cancer Institute Hospital, Tokyo. Dedicated to the teaching, training and practice of Surgical Oncology for more than two decades Dr. Chaturvedi is the past President of the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (2010).
