Sharon McGonigle, RN-EC, MScN, NP Adult earned her Masters of Science in Nursing Degree from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York, USA and her post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Toronto, Canada. She has extensive clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery and critical care nursing. She has been an Adult Nurse Practitioner in Thoracic Oncology, as well as Radiation Medicine with the Head and Neck population. Her oncology interests focuses on symptom management and cancer survivorship. Sharon’s research focus is evaluating outcomes and quality of life. She has contributed to journal articles on various aspects of increasing access to care for oncology patients as well as to many abstracts, in her areas of expertise. Sharon has presented at local, national and international conferences on various aspects of nursing practice including critical care, lung and other cancers including: diagnosis, treatment and symptom management; and communicating with patients.
