Awele Chukwuedo O., is a Public Health Specialist, Researcher and community development expert. She obtained her higher education from Lagos State university, Delta State University, and College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (Msc/Mphil), also, has a Basic Leadership Certificate from the Day Star Leadership Academy Lagos and National Youth Service Corp Commendation for Exceptional Performance in Community Development Service in 2009 as youth Corp member. She is a core professional with demonstrated honour and integrity that combine dynamism with a high premium on excellence. An individual who have been trained and competent in innovative research, Teaching/training, Client Relationship Management, Development and testing of IEC materials, Skillful in Community diagnosis, Project Development, Project Planning, Project Implementation at community level, Project Monitoring/Evaluation, and Exceptional Abilities to influence clients/community participation, e.t.c. Fueled by passion Awele has carried out several community development projects, and in the course of these projects involved in community consultations working with gate keepers, mobilizing the community members towards achieving set goals in the course. Due to Interest in communicating health issues to the people, she has a currently circulating song titled: “Cervical Cancer Tori” a behavior change material designed in music form to influence cervical cancer screening in Africa through enter-education as a Public health approach which is dedicated to reducing the burden of “Cervical cancer” in Nigerian. Awele C.O is currently at the helm of affairs of Lifetouch Africa (Lifetouch for African Women Health Initiative) a fast growing Non-Governmental Organisation based in Nigeria that is committed to reaching women and girls through awareness, research, advocacy, empowerment, Education/training and counseling. She has worked as Peer Educator Trainer (PET), under the National Reproductive Health Program, Hope Alive Project , programme coordinator for In-community cervical cancer screening project, Community Educator Counterfeit Drugs incidence in Rural Communities project, Independent African Woman project etc. She has successfully worked, volunteered, partnered with World class N.G.Os including the United Nations Information Center and corporate organizations to reaching Africa women and girls in Africa.
