Nicolas Philippou
Nicolas Philippou, holds the position of the General Manager of The Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) since January 2010. PASYKAF is a Non-For-Profit organization in Cyprus, providing supportive, psychosocial and home-based palliative care services to more than 5000 patients and members of their families with a multidisciplinary team of more than 35 full time health professionals and 15 associates. In 2013 the association has provided home based palliative care services to more than 1800 patients. In addition the association runs information and prevention campaigns and advocates for cancer control policies and patients’ rights. Nicolas comes from a Business and Financial background, holding a BA in Management and an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Before joining PASYKAF, he has worked for ten years in the Venture Capital (Business Incubation) and the Private Sector including two big international companies in Cyprus and Greece. In addition, he is an active member of the Patients Support Working Group of European Cancer Leagues - ECL, and is the Secretary of the Board of the Cyprus Patients Federation member of EPF.
