Marjorie Morrison

Marjorie Morrison is the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Cancer Action Network, a patient-centred umbrella organization working closely with the patient advocacy community in Canada to further accelerate the national cancer strategy and achieve a health care system that is affordable and equitable to all Canadians. Currently comprised of 95 member organizations from across Canada, the Canadian Cancer Action Network is dedicated to ensuring a coordinated and informed patient and caregiver voice is firmly embedded across the cancer continuum. As a highly experienced and motivated senior leader in the not-for-profit sector with almost 20 years of NGO experience, Marjorie Morrison has been tasked with developing and implementing complex national strategic initiatives geared toward the Canadian patient advocacy and caregiver community. Building on an extensive knowledge of the Canadian health-care system, and working with key stakeholders in the patient advocacy and caregiver community as well as civil society, Marjorie has a proven leadership record of creating collaborative platforms in order to mobilize action, engage diverse stakeholders and advance patient and caregiver issues across the cancer control continuum.
