Karen Lacey is currently Strategic Project Manager for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Melbourne. As part of this role, Karen manages the Living with Cancer program, a quality improvement initiative that has been established in collaboration with the Western and Central Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (WCMICS) to reduce the burden of cancer on patients and their families. Karen is also managing a lung cancer clinical audit in partnership with WCMICS to influence system wide change in treatment and care that will lead to reduced variations and improved patient outcomes.
A project manager by training, Karen has worked in various fields in public health for the past 10 years in both the UK and Australia. Her earlier career history includes project work with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the East of England Perinatal Network, and BUPA UK.
