Rebecca Bergin is a project manager and researcher at the department of Cancer Experiences Research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. Rebecca holds a Bachelors degree in Arts & Sciences from the University of Melbourne and was awarded a first class honours degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology undertaken at the Florey Neuroscience Institutes. For the past three years Rebecca has worked on a number of research projects and randomised controlled trials at Peter Mac in supportive care. She is currently co-ordinating an NHMRC-funded, multi-centre national RCT investigating psychosocial and psychological effects of a nurse-led intervention with peer-support for women receiving radiotherapy for gynaecological cancer.
